SHELL PROMOTION

August 1997 saw Corinthian team up with oil giants SHELL, to release a series of 12 South Africa sporting legends figures.

Each figure was inside a sealed secret sachet and given away at SHELL petrol stations. No collector cards were produced but there was a collectors information file inside each sachet, which detailed the range.

The range consisted of 3 football players, 3 cricket players, 3 rugby players, a boxer, a swimmer and a runner, with all figures being done on an oval base.

The 3 football figures were Lucas Radebe, John 'Shoes' Moshoeu and Doctor Khumalo, with the figures being in South Africa home kit.

 

​

The 3 Cricketer's are Paul Adams, Hansie Cronje and Allan Donald, with the 3 Rugby players in South Africa kit being James Small, Chester Williams and Joos Van Der Westhuizen.

The other 3 were South Africa sporting icon's, Boxer Baby Jake Matlala, Swimmer Penny Heyns and Runner Josia Thugwana.
