NOTTINGHAM FOREST 1995/96

Nottingham Forest had only 3 figures released in the kit worn for the 95/96 season, The 3 figures chosen for release were goalkeeper and expert penalty stopper Mark Crossley, painted in a very detailed kit, £3 million pound Dutch signing Bryan Roy and Steve Stone, the Stone was the same sculpt as we saw in the England Euro 96 set.

There was supposed to be a 4th figure and for a long time it was assumed that Stuart Pearce was released in the 95/96 kit. The rumour started after he appeared in the 'collect the set' information file wearing the 95/96 kit, however he was not and was only released in the 96/97 kit.

The reason why the Pearce figure was pulled so close to the release was due to the player being linked with a move to Manchester United. Pearce was rumoured to be very close to signing for Manchester United, so Corinthian pulled the figure, as who would buy the Nottingham Forest figure if he has just left the club? As it was the deal never materialised, so instead Pearce would later be included in the 96/97 set of Nottingham Forest figures.

The figures were released as single blister packs, which came with collector card and collectors information leaflet.
