These are the very first figures released for Arsenal, all are painted in the kit worn for the 1995/96 season. The major difference in this kit to the 1996/97 kit is the shirt is a slightly brighter shade of red with the most notable difference being these figures had stripped socks.
4 of these figures had previously been released as part of the England national series, those four being Tony Adams, David Platt, David Seaman and Ian Wright, the Seaman figure at the time was very difficult to find in blister format.
This set also included 4 brand new and first time sculpts, Martin Keown and Nigel Winterburn were released for the first time and Corinthian got the likeness of these players spot on, so accurate were these sculpts that they were used for many subsequent releases of these two players.
Gooner favourite Paul Merson was released for the first time as well, sculpted with his Gold tooth of course. Arsenal legend and Dutch maestro Dennis Bergkamp was sculpted for the first time and was a much anticipated figure for most collectors. A very good sculpt but Corinthian released much more detailed and accurate sculpts later in the collection.
Adams, Merson, Wright, Seaman, Bergkamp and Platt were released in January of 1996, with Winterburn and Keown being released in June of 96.
All figures were released as single blisters, with each one coming with collector card and collectors information file.
